GajShield Security Appliances have the capability of creating Layer 7 firewall rules. These rules make the job of a network administrator easier by giving a verbose description of what will be blocked.
Tools like Bittorrent, while on occasion can be used to improve productivity, allowing access to them introduces legal liability concerns as copyrighted content can be downloaded and stored on corporate systems.
Create an Application Policy to block Bittorrent Go to App Filter : App Policy and add an application policy. Select 'Applications' as Policy Base and select Bittorrent' application as shown below
Click on 'Add' to save the policy
Once the policy is created restart the app service App Service - Click on
to restart service.
Now you need to use this policy by adding it in a firewall rule.
Navigate to Firewall - Policies - Rules.
Provide the relevant information, like source address, destination, you can also select the users/groups on which this policy can be implemented.
You need to then select the created above in the 'Advance Policy' as shown below
Click on 'Add' to save this rule and finally 'Install Policy' to implement this policy.
