Firmware Version 4.5 and above

Applications like Ultrasurf use tunneling, proxies and other evasion techniques to get around filtering of firewall devices.
To block UltraSurf, follow the below steps
 

  1. Create an Application Policy to block UltraSurf
  2. Use this policy in firewall rule

Create an Application Policy to block UltraSurf Go to App Filter : App Policy and add an application policy. Select 'Applications' as Policy Base and select 'UltraSurf' application as shown below



Click on 'Add' to save the policy

After creating policy, you need to use this policy by adding it in a firewall rule. Provide the relevant information, like source address, destination, you can also select the users/groups on which this policy can be implemented.

You need to then select the  created above in the 'Advance Policy' as shown below


 
Click on 'Add' to save this rule and finally 'Install Policy' to implement this policy.
